Terms of service
Last updated: 5 November 2026
This is a courtesy translation. In case of any difference, the Italian version prevails.
1. Who provides the service
Spike Net is provided by Pietro Corti, Via Salvo D'Acquisto 14, 23849 Rogeno (LC), Italy, VAT number IT04322540131, tax code CRTPTR96T18F704S, email [email protected] ("we"). Spike Net is a Windows application that analyses volleyball match videos and produces statistics, charts and montages, together with the website spikenet.it.
2. Account
To use the app you need an account with a confirmed email address. You are responsible for your password and for what happens with your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Delete account, "Impostazioni → Elimina account"): see section 10.
3. Credits
- Each analysed match costs 1 credit. When you upload, you choose whether to use a standard or a premium credit.
- Standard credits: free. Each account has at most 2; they are topped back up to 2 every calendar month up to and including June 2027, after which any remaining ones stay usable. They don't accumulate beyond 2.
- Premium credits: bought separately or included in a plan. They never expire and have no limit; matches analysed with a premium credit get priority in the queue.
- If the analysis fails because of a problem with the service, or you cancel it before it finishes, the credit is returned to you automatically.
- Credits are not money: they can't be converted into money, transferred to other accounts or refunded, except as set out in section 7.
4. Plans
- Available plans: Starter €35 a month (4 premium credits a month, scouting reports, extra credits at €10) and Captain €70 a month (8 premium credits a month, scouting reports, importing shared matches, extra credits at €8). Without a plan you are on the free Libero plan (extra credits at €12).
- Plans renew automatically every month, on the same date, until you cancel. The plan's credits arrive with each paid renewal.
- You can cancel or change plan at any time from "Manage subscription" ("Gestisci abbonamento") in the app. When you cancel, the plan stays active until the end of the month already paid for and then doesn't renew; the unused part of the month is not refunded. When you upgrade, you pay the difference for the rest of the month straight away and receive the difference in credits.
- If a renewal fails, we retry the charge for a few days; if it still fails, the plan goes back to Libero. Premium credits already received stay yours.
- We may change plan prices and contents with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from the next renewal and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Prices and payments
Prices are in euros and are the final price you pay: the transaction falls under the Italian flat-rate tax scheme (regime forfettario), without VAT under art. 1, paragraphs 54-89, Law 190/2014. Payments are handled by Stripe: your card details never pass through our systems. You receive an email receipt after each payment. If you need an invoice (for example for a sports club), enter your VAT number on the payment page or email us: we'll issue an electronic invoice.
6. Right of withdrawal
Credits and plans are digital content supplied immediately after payment. At the time of payment you expressly request that supply begins immediately and acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal provided by the Italian Consumer Code (art. 59, letter o). You can still cancel your plan as described in section 4.
7. Refunds
Besides the automatic return of the credit for failed analyses, we may refund a payment if the service didn't work because of a problem on our side. Email us at [email protected]. If a credit purchase is refunded, the corresponding credits not yet used are removed from your balance.
8. The videos you upload
- You may only upload videos you own the rights to or have permission to use, including when you start from a YouTube link.
- People filmed: whoever uploads a video declares that they have the consent of the recognisable people, or of the parents for minors, for the analysis and for any sharing. Many youth matches show minors: this is your responsibility.
- The video and the results remain yours. You authorise us to store and process them only to provide the service (analysis, archive, shares you create). See the privacy policy.
- Model improvement: if you give the optional consent when signing up, we may use the uploaded videos and the results to train and improve the analysis models, including after the account is closed. By uploading a video you declare that you have the consent of the people filmed (or of the parents for minors) for this use too. You can give or withdraw it at any time from the app (Settings → Privacy, "Impostazioni → Privacy"). Details in the privacy policy.
- With "Share" you create a code: anyone who has it can watch the match on the website for one year, or until you delete the share.
9. Service limits
Statistics are produced automatically and may contain errors (actions not detected or attributed to the wrong player, scores to be corrected): check them before using them for important decisions. The service may be suspended for maintenance or faults; analysis times depend on the queue. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages related to the use of the service does not exceed what you paid us in the last 12 months; liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence and the rights the law grants to consumers remain unaffected.
10. Closing your account
Deleting your account immediately ends any active plans and deletes the account and the remaining credits. Shares remain, no longer linked to the account, until they expire and you will no longer be able to manage them, so delete them first if you don't want them to remain. Matches stored on our servers remain, no longer linked to the account, only if you gave consent to model improvement (section 8); otherwise they are deleted, and shares remain without the videos. Payment data is kept to meet tax obligations. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, notifying you by email.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; important changes are communicated to you by email at least 30 days in advance. Italian law applies. For consumers, the competent court is that of the consumer's place of residence or domicile.
